Citron Violet Diversity Policy

Citron Violet's mission statement is "Productions with Purpose" 

Specifically, every production that Citron Violet is a part of will provide value beyond commercial.

One of the ways that value might be measured is through diversity.

Citron Violet is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Our network of cast and crew are the most valuable asset we have. We value the collective sum of their individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent. It is an important part of our company culture to ensure that every project we work on illustrates the diversity we are proud to support.

We welcome and encourage differences in age, colour, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and other characteristics that make the cast and crew of every Citron Violet production, unique.

Our diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment, cast and crew selection; compensation, benefits; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity that encourages and enforces:

  • Respectful communication and cooperation between all cast and crew.

  • Teamwork and participation, permitting the representation of all groups and perspectives.

  • Opportunities for cast, crew and management to contribute to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for the diversity.

 

All Citron Violet cast and crew have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. Everyone is expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion during work, at work and at all Citron Violet events.

Any cast or crew member found to have exhibited any inappropriate conduct or behaviour against others may be subject to disciplinary action.

​

Individuals who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the company’s diversity policy and initiatives should seek assistance from Citron Violet management.
